چکیده
Mung bean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) is an important annual legume which well suited to dry areas, like Burkina Faso where it still orphan legume. The present study was conducted evaluate 44 mung genotypes introduced in and determine genetic diversity this collection using both quantitative qualitative traits. A field experiment augmented bloc design with three blocks extraearly maturing cowpea variety as check. Data were recorded on six (06) traits seven (07) For traits, revealed four parameters including hypocotyl’s color, seed coat pods stem pubescence. Significant variability among for all the characters. Phenotypic coefficient of variation (PCV) higher than Genotypic (GCV) characters studied indicating influence environmental effect GCV PCV estimates high number per plant followed by height hundred seeds weigh. heritability coupled advanced percent mean observed these suggest gain improvement grouped into five clusters. Mungbean lines clusters used check crop trial clustered apart. This gbiodiversityenetic diversity, qualitatively quantitatively, will help enrich local terms legumes general particular constitutes basis a future mungbean breeding program.

Two forms of Fd-NADP+ oxidoreductase (FNR) isoproteins have been purified and characterized from the first foliage leaves of 5d-old mung bean (Vigna radiata). They could be separated by either Mono Q HR 515 or ferredoxin (Fd)-Sepharose 48 affinity columns. Based on immunoblot analysis and N-terminal amino acid sequences, one form resembles the FNR purified from photosynthetic tissues of higher ...

Cold-induced changes in vivo in the cytoplasmic pH of suspension-cultured cells of mung bean (Vigna radiata [L.] Wilczek) were investigated by fluorescence-ratio imaging cryomicroscopy with special reference to the variations in the chilling sensitivity of cells during the growth cycle. Because of the preferential localization of the fluorophore in the cytoplasm under specified conditions and t...

A pot culture experiment was conducted in mung bean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek.) genotype PUSA Baisakhi to test the effect of sodium arsenate and thiourea (TU). Arsenic at 25 μM caused significant inhibition of growth as indicated by reduced shoot and root dry weight and reduction in photosynthetic capacity. Significant decline in ascorbate peroxidase, dehydroascorbate reductase and glutathion...

Phosphatidylglycerophosphate synthase (sn-glycerol-3-phosphate:CDP-diacylglycerol phosphatidyltransferase) and phosphatidylglycerophosphate phosphatase were characterized in mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) mitochondria. The synthase has a rather broad pH optimum between 7 and 9, whereas the phosphatase has one of about 7. Both enzymic activities are stimulated by Triton X-100 and require divalent ...

Proton-translocating ATPase (H+-ATPase) was purified from mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) roots. Treatment of this enzyme with the argininespecific reagent 2,3-butanedione in the presence of borate at 37°C (pH 7.0), caused a marked decrease in its activity. Under this condition, halfmaximal inhibition was brought about by 20 millimolar 2,3-butanedione at 12 minutes. MgATP and MgADP, the physiologi...
